8:15 PM: About 3,000 people showed up to see former Blackhawks & new Maple Leafs player Dave Bolland bring the Stanley Cup to west Toronto on Thursday. Earlier in the day Bolland brought the Cup to a children's hospital in London, Ontario.

8:00 PM: After signing a five-year, $80 million contract extension, Washington Wizards player John Wall said he would be donating $1 million to D.C.-area charities: "It's not all about me .... You need to worry about other people. That's how you make yourself a better person as well."

7:45 PM: Minnesota Vikings offensive tackle DeMarcus Love said about his four-game ban for PED use: "I was shocked, man. I've never cheated and never will. Not intentionally. Unfortunate it's something I can't change. It happened. It didn't work out in my favor and so I've got to face the consequences."

6:30 PM: NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said on Thursday that he his "proud" to have Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam in the league. Haslam's Pilot Flying J truck stop company has been investigated & sued over a gas rebate program scam.

6:15 PM: Former Tennessee Volunteers & Dallas Cowboys receiver Cory Fleming was arrested on DUI charges early Thursday morning. Fleming was previously arrested for DUI in 2009 and found guilty of reckless driving.

6:00 PM: FootballScoop.com reports the Pac-12 Network will be producing its own Hard Knocks-style show featuring Arizona State & Cal. The Drive will air each Wednesday night starting on August 11.

5:45 PM: Five people were injured in a golf car accident Thursday at Bradford Woods, an outdoor activities center owned by Indiana University. One injured person had to be airlifted by helicopter to a nearby hospital.

5:30 PM: The Des Moines Register reports HyVee & Fareway grocery stores in Iowa & Nebraska have been fined $128,500 by the U.S. Department of Labor for "widespread violations" of child labor laws.

5:15 PM: The Detroit Red Wings announce they will retire Nicklas Lidstrom's #5 jersey in a ceremony before their March 6 game against the Colorado Avalanche.

5:00 PM: From the Philadelphia Inquirer, an Eagles player on the condition of anonymity said he believes Riley Cooper would have received more than just a fine if Andy Reid was still coach.

4:45 PM: The Texas Rangers have promoted 19-year-old second baseman Rougned Odor from the Single-A Myrtle Beach Pelicans to the Double-A Frisco RoughRiders.
