Nelly earns American Music Award nod with Florida Georgia Line

While the sales for Nelly's new album "M.O." may be bad, the rapper got some good news this morning from the American Music Awards.

"Cruise" by Florida Georgia Line and Nelly is up for single of the year with "Thrift Shop" by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Wanz and "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke featuring Pharrell and T.I.

Miley Cyrus will perform at the ceremony, which takes place Nov. 24.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis lead the nominations with six, followed by Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake with five nominations each.
