Friday nights over Grapevine Lake will sparkle with spectacular fireworks this evening ~ a fun end of summer celebration! If you want to add some extra sparkle to your family evening, plan to view the fireworks from the Gaylord Texan Resort parking garage roof ~ a great viewing platform.? They will have a music DJ, games for kids, giveaways, and food and beverages for purchase.

This Saturday, bring your child to Home Depot?s Kids Workshop to help them learn a new woodworking skill and build their very own goal post football game to take home. Each Kids Workshop participant will receive a kid-sized orange apron (similar to a Home Depot associate apron) and an achievement pin. All workshops are free, but you should probably show up early to insure you have a kit for your little ones.

The Modern Art Museum ~ Fort Worth Kids Drawing Program

This fun program for children, held on the first Sunday of each month, includes two sessions ~ one for ages 5 to 8 and the other is for ages 9 to 12. Each free session is led by an artist who takes children through informal drawing exercises related to artworks in the Modern?s collection. Be sure to bring a sketchbook and pencils, or purchase supplies in the Modern Shop.? Each child under the age of six must be accompanied by an adult during the program.? Attendance is limited and early arrival is encouraged.
